Now, this can be hard to spot, especially if you’re so emotionally invested in him. But if you find yourself constantly thinking of a guy, try to take a step back and see if you are actually obsessing over ideals that you’re projecting onto him.

Reason 4: You Feel Curious About Him

Just like nostalgia, curiosity is another powerful emotion that can really affect your thoughts and actions. When you’re curious about something, this gives you a powerful desire to find out more about it. And if you can’t get the information you’re looking for, you will often resort to wondering about it in your mind. Perhaps you caught feelings for a guy you just met, and you’re wondering what his personality is like, or whether he has a girlfriend or not… Or maybe you’re curious about your ex, thinking about what his life is like now and whether he’s really moved on from you… In any case, curiosity tends to build up over time.
