Sales training teaches us to be conscious about what we say, our body language and the way we sell. One thing that we perhaps don't think about enough is the effect that color has on our sales interactions.

Whether it's the clothes you wear or the color of your marketing, the colors you chose will have an affect on your prospects and customers. If you wore red to a sales meeting for example, would it increase the likelihood of you getting the sale? If your leaflet has green writing, what difference could that make when customers or prospects read it?

Here are the top 10 colors that affect your sales interactions:

1. Red

Red is the color of power. It gets people’s attention and it holds it, which is why it’s the most popular color for marketing. The word SALE is always red, and you'll often find red a common tie color for professionals.

2. Blue

When you want to be viewed as trustworthy and cool, blue is the color for you. Blue is a more relaxed color and bit more softer than black when used for writing text or suit color. Mix blue with complimentary colors for best results. A strong and bright color, pink grabs attention. A stand out color it is effective on both male and female and can show excitement and boldness when used for marketing.

4. Yellow

Yellow is a powerful color, but it is also the most dangerous hue. Use yellow to command your audience’s attention, and let them know you’re confident in your abilities.

5. Green

6. Purple

Purple is the color of royalty, which makes it perfect for lending a touch of elegance and prestige to your marketing materials. If you want to appear with some form of authority or seniority, purple is a great color choice.

7. Gold

Gold is likewise elegant and prestigious, but adds an element of power purple can’t match. In combination with purple or green, gold is a powerful color that symbolizes wealth and pedigree.

8. Orange

Orange is energy. It has powerful attention-getting properties, it’s fun and cool, and it makes customers feel as though they’re dealing with a cutting-edge company.

9. Brown

Brown, an earthy tone, is known as a comfort color, lending relaxation to customers. A grey suit with brown shoes and belt can be a popular combination.

10. Black

Black is another highly versatile color. It can be modern or traditional, exciting or relaxing. Used as a contrasting color, black most often adds drama to whatever mood you want to cast. Color can seem like a small detail, but it is proven by psychologists and marketing teams as a highly influential part of the buying process. What does the 🍊 emoji mean?

Officially called the peach emoji, the butt emoji was first introduced in 2010 under Unicode 6.0. As its fuzzy, cleft appearance looks like a plump rear end, the peach emoji quickly came to stand for buttocks on social media and in text messages, especially a woman's in sexual contexts.

The peach emoji is very occasionally used to represent peach and peach-based foods (e.g., I love peach cobbler 🍑). In most uses, the emoji supplements or substitutes for various senses of “butt” or “ass.” Contexts include personal fitness (working on my 🍑 today at the gym); humor and slang (don’t be a butthead 🍑); physical attraction (Look at the ass on him 🍑 🍑 🍑); and sexually-explicit content (I want your 🍑). In sexual contexts, the peach/butt emoji is often paired with the eggplant emoji 🍆, standing for “penis,” and the sweat droplets emoji 💦, standing for “ejaculation.” Together, they are used to suggest or describe intercourse. Outside of adding emphasis or color, the peach/butt emoji is often intended as a euphemism for “butt” or “ass” (got fined out the 🍑). But since the beginning of impeachment proceedings in 2019 against President Trump, the peach emoji has once again been thrust into the spotlight. This time it finds itself at the center of an impeachment controversy, or, perhaps more accurately, an im🍑ment controversy. On Twitter and other social media, the peach emoji is frequently used in reference to impeachment and the desire to remove POTUS from office generally.
