A study of 2,000 men on a social media dating site found that one eye colour and dress size were the most attractive. The study was compiled on the site, Badoo, which has more than 330 million members in 190 countries asked the men a few questions about their preferences.

The majority eye colour in Ireland is blue, so you'll be glad to hear that 40.2% of the men asked prefer the shade. Brown eyes came in second with 29.2%, green at third with 17.5%, and hazel as last with 13.1%. So blue trumps in the eye colour category, but what about hair, what did they pick there? The results might surprise you! A third of all men in the poll found brown hair to be the most attractive; 28.6% said they prefer black hair. That means of the total polled, 59.7% said they prefer women with dark hair. When it came to women with other hair colours, 29.5% of men preferred blondes and 8.8% of men preferred redheads. When it came to size, the men were asked which dress size they preferred in women, here the results were unanimous. The majority of the men (nearly 86% of them) preferred a woman with a dress size 14 to 16. Only 10% said they prefer women between the size 8 and 10, and 4.2% of them said they prefer women sizes 20 or over.

So, the majority of men prefer a blue eyed, dark haired woman who is a size 14-16, who knew?

For those of us that are blonde with green eyes we have decided not to ask men any more questions, period!

They were then asked to rate their conversation partner's attractiveness. The men looked into the eyes of actresses they considered beautiful for an average of 8.2 seconds, but that dropped to 4.5 seconds when gazing at those they rated less attractive, the study found. The female students, however, were looking at the actors for the same length of time, found the study published in the latest edition of the 'Archives of Sexual Behaviour' journal.
