What makes God smile at us?

God smiles when we trust Him. To trust God is to take Him at His word. This means we must learn to listen to Him and trust that He does speak to us. Putting into action what you think God may be saying can be a great risk, but it's what develops trust between you and God.

The smile of God is the goal of your life!

The Bible says, “figure out what will please Christ, and then do it.” (Ephesians 5:10 MSG) I am currently doing 'The Purpose Driven Life' and I found Day 9 remarkable:

God smiles when we love Him the most.

There are many things to get you excited in this life but none are more exciting than friendship with Jesus. Out of everything you love in this life, Jesus must be supreme!

God deeply loves you and desires your love in return.

This is why the greatest commandment is: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and with all your mind and strength.

God smiles when we trust Him.

To trust God is to take Him at His word.

This means we must learn to listen to Him and trust that He does speak to us. Putting into action what you think God may be saying can be a great risk, but it's what develops trust between you and God.

God smiles when we obey Him.

Communication develops a relationship and relationships are built on trust.

Obedience is the ultimate test of trust.

If we believe God has our best interest at heart, why do we struggle to obey His leading?

God's word gives us plenty of things to obey whilst we wait for His whisper in our lives!

God smiles when we worship Him.

We would all admit that it feels great when somebody appreciates us.

Why should it be any different with your friendship with God?

Learn to appreciate Him. Vocally express your gratitude to God, and thank Him for things. Many of us only worship God in song but this would be more intimate if we learned to adore and appreciate God before we even get to a setting with a band for praise and worship!

God smiles when we live a full life.

It's not right to raise your hands in a worship service and be cheating on your spouse, or cheating the tax man, or treating others poorly. God enjoys watching us live full lives toward others, His creation and even the way we use our gifts and talents! In a world filled with self-absorption, let’s first ask, ‘How do I make God smile?’

What is the meaning of Acts 17 22 34?

Acts 17:22–34 contains the second of two sermons which Luke records from Paul. The more typical sermon explains to synagogues how Jesus is the Messiah (Acts 13:16–41). Here, however, Paul is speaking to a group of Athenian philosophers.
