If we’re going to accomplish all that God has in store for our lives, we need to know who we are. Our identity is the foundation. When we know who we are called to be, we can move forward in clarity into the assignments God has given us in our lives. Everything we do flows from who we are. It flows from our souls. We might not feel like we have what we need to grow and accomplish the goals and dreams in our lives, but God has already placed the keys to success within us. We just have to discover them, unpack them, and put them to action. When you realize what you carry, you will then begin to use those tools to your advantage. God has already given you all that you need. But just as you already have keys to success, you also have enemies that want to stunt your growth. These enemies of growth sometimes are subtle. Sometimes you might not even know they are there. They come in with one goal: to distract you from your destiny. They come to kill and destroy God’s dreams before they ever get birthed into the world.

Do you ever feel like no matter what you do, you just can’t get ahead? Do you ever feel something is holding you back?

The reason we often don’t recognize these enemies of growth is that they don’t show up in the flesh. Yet, oftentimes we spend our time-fighting battles with people. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” – Ephesians 6:12 The enemy is not your spouse. The enemy is not your boss. The enemy is not your co-workers. The enemy is within you. In this series, we’re going to go through the 5 specific things that show up as an enemy to your growth. We all from time to time can get tripped up in one of these areas, but I believe and my vision for you is that as you read through this series, you would find freedom, refreshment, and take back your authority. Because here is the good news: God has already won. He gave you authority over darkness. We expose the enemies to destroy them, not to glorify them. We expose enemies so we can know we already have the victory to overcome.
