By India Today Web Desk: Can we please get over how only men dread the ominous friend zone?

Women too have at one point or another been there, done that. Believe us. Yeah okay. Maybe the intensity and frequency of the female brigade getting friend zoned is lesser than their male counterparts, but ruling out the possibility is completely unrealistic. So ladies, those of you who've been in the zone and never want to go near it again, or those who currently face the lurking danger of stepping anywhere close to it, these tell-all signs are just for you.

1. You've been friends for the longest time without him hitting on you You two have literally been friends for the longest time, but he doesn't even try to hit on you. What world does that happen in? In the friend zone world of course. And even if YOU have a crush on him and try to mildly show it, he takes it as a joke and rubbishes it in a way that is so nonchalant he doesn't even realise how heart-breaking it is. Yes, that's a sign.

2. He doesn't mind calling you over for a boys' night out

We don't know whom he refers to as the 'typical' set of girls but apparently, you're not one of them--why else would he let you be a part of the all-boys night out? Yes, you can kick his a** in a game of FIFA and you can name every player in his favourite soccer team, but that doesn't mean you can't be his girlfriend.

At least, he thinks so. Mostly.

3. You haven't had the 'what if we end up together' conversation

"You're so great, but I can never imagine spending my life with you," he said after you mentioned a hypothetical situation in which both of you don't find life partners and end up with each other. Ouch! Take the hint, girl.

4. He keeps mentioning how you're perfect for his good-looking best friend

Your crush has been trying to set you up, or coax you into going for that Tinder date for the longest time. Or even better, telling you to start dating your best friend from office. He's so totally not into you. 5. He asks you for girl-advice and seeks your help to impress the ladies he's interested in Sure, you can be one of the boys, but he also needs you to be one of the girls as and when he pleases. He seeks your advice in matters that concern the girl he really likes and sends you screenshots of what has the potential of becoming a romantic conversation. From buying gifts for his female friends, to wearing the 'correct' clothes for that date--you are his go-to person. You're completely friend zoned!
