There are some questions about men that only a guy can answer. We asked the dudes at guyspeak.com (read more about them here), for their take on dating: When I replied to a recent question from a woman who was deliberately helping a man cheat, I have to admit I was a little surprised by how much slack she got cut. People were even trying to divvy up the blame by percentages, like being cheated on hurts only so much due to one specific person. So, I thought I'd take a look at these apparently murky ethical waters, and see if I could clear them up a bit. First off, the one in a relationship cheating is always, always at fault. There's a brilliant country song about people like this by John R. Butler called "She Came On To Me" (that I won't link here because it's decidedly not work-safe, but you can find it on YouTube) that pretty safely sums up their attitude. It's never the cheater's fault. Oh no. It's the person he or she cheated with. And if the other person is fully aware of what they're doing, well...sorry, but I've got zero sympathy. Choosing to trample all over somebody's feelings for any reason is a really lousy thing to do, but especially when it's something as obviously painful and socially proscribed as cheating...well...there's not much excuse there. It doesn't matter that he's the one in the relationship; that's like saying it's the fault of the shoe store for selling the pedestrian I backed over some walking shoes. Sure, they enabled it, but I'm still the one who did it. All of this is provided, of course, the other woman knows in the first place. It really has to be emphasized that there are cheating scumbags who are extremely good at covering up that they're in a relationship with someone else. These guys actually form little support groups and give each other tips. It's especially common with guys who have a male lover on the side: they're more highly motivated to keep that a secret. But cheaters with an awareness they might get caught generally try to keep the woman they're cheating with in the dark.

Is loyalty equal to love?

Loyalty and love are not the same and never will be. We can use a relationship as an example. A man can tell a woman: “I will always love you,” but months later they're no longer together.

My favorite word is loyalty because showing loyalty makes you earn a lot of respect from everyone. Many people pretend to be loyal to others but really ain’t loyal at all. I would pick loyalty over love any day. People can love you today and won’t love you tomorrow, but loyalty always stays the same no matter what. I know many people that I knew for about five years and I never thought they would really stab me in the back. Someone you meet tomorrow can show you loyalty over someone you knew for many years, in this generation there are a lot of people who want to be something they’re not, and that’s really sad. I am really shocked by how your own friends can turn their back on you any day. Where I’m from, it’s all about loyalty no matter what. If you know you ain’t loyal, don’t pretend to be loyal because some people will really kill you for not being loyal where I’m from Loyalty and love are not the same and never will be. We can use a relationship as an example. A man can tell a woman: “I will always love you,” but months later they’re no longer together. To me the word love doesn’t really mean anything and that’s why when someone tells me that they love me, I just respond back with an “O.K.” 95 out of 100 times they really don’t mean it. If you ain’t loyal to me, get out my face with that fake love of your partner.
